Herman Wallace and Albert Woodfox are serving their 39th year in solitary confinement in Louisiana USA, while still fighting to prove their innocence against the wrongful conviction of murdering a prison guard in the 70s. They were targeted for their prison activism as members of the Black Panther Party. Their story has been made into a powerful documentary In the Land of the Free but the film has received only limited exposure in the USA.

We urgently need to make the film available for viewing by as many people as possible in the USA, to raise awareness of Herman and Albert’s case to decision makers who can influence and to ordinary people who can create the public pressure needed.

Each community screening costs about $80 (£50) and city screenings cost about $3,000 (£1,800) each. This pays for the publicity, the venue and organising costs. So please contribute what you can. Your donation will help to publicise the case of the Angola 3 and with your support this year could see their freedom at last.

Thank you to The Roddick Foundation for administering donations from the UK and to Community Futures Collective for donations made outside the UK.
